The new terms mean significant savings for the operator

The Euskaltel Group renews and improves its wholesale mobile agreement with Telefónica in Asturias

  • The agreement marks a new step towards meeting the objectives set out in the roadmap drawn up by the Euskaltel Group, to which Telecable belongs.

Bilbao, 16 December 2019. The Euskaltel Group has renewed its wholesale agreement enabling Telecable to provide mobile services to its customers over the Telefónica network and allowing the Asturian operator to continue offering its customers the most advanced telecommunications services and products. Renewing the terms of the agreement helps achieve the roadmap drawn up by the Euskaltel Group, to which Telecable belongs.

This agreement is beneficial to both parties, as it renews and improves the wholesale mobile agreement that Telecable has with Telefónica, strengthening the commitments set out therein and enabling Telecable to access current technology, whilst maintaining the structure of the original agreement with improvements to some specific terms.

In addition, the agreement brings significant savings to the Euskaltel Group, as it guarantees a steady wholesale price over time for mobile data. This means that Telecable can avoid the significant additional costs of its customers using greater amounts of data as a result of the market trend for customers to consume more data.
