Bilbao Exhibition Centre, Illumbe in Donostia and Buesa Arena in Vitoria-Gasteiz are the selected venues

Bilbao, 19 February 2016. Euskaltel is hosting a new "Las noches de Comedy Central" [Comedy Central Nights] tomorrow, Saturday 20 February. This will be a new milestone as it is going to beat the audience record and for the number of programmed sessions: 43,000 people in 3 sessions in Bizkaia (20 February), 2 sessions in Gipuzkoa (5 March) and 1 session in Araba (12 March).

As on previous occasions, Euskaltel is organising this event as an opportunity for its customers to enjoy experiences related to culture and leisure. This time, Euskaltel aims to beat all records as it is the largest of the events held so far, as there will be over 43,000 people, divided between 3 sessions at the BEC (Bilbao Exhibition Centre) in Barakaldo, 2 sessions at Illumbe (Donostia) and one session at Buesa-Arena (Vitoria-Gasteiz). The audience will enjoy over an hour of the best stand-up by three of today's top comedians.

Another of the new features this year will be the ticket notification and collection mechanism that, for the first time ever, will be fully digital. Using the invitation email that Euskaltel has sent out to its customers and an exclusive microsite set up to enter the draw for 500 double tickets, the invited customers can sign up and directly download their ticket for the event.

The Euskaltel-Comedy Central partnership has been widely acclaimed in the nine events held so far, as they have given over 100,000 Euskaltel customers the opportunity to enjoy an evening of comedy with live performances by the comedians from Comedy Central, the only 100% comedy channel that is part of the Euskaltel TV schedule. On previous occasions, the sessions were held at Kursaal and Illumbe in Donostia-San Sebastián, at the Teatro Principal in Vitoria-Gasteiz, at the BEC in Barakaldo and at Bilbao Arena.

During that time, Comedy Central performances have allowed live comedy to be taken to more people and to more places. This is a way for Euskaltel to thank its customers for the trust they have shown in its products and services, by means of a novel and engaging experience.

Comedy Central has been a driving force behind and at the forefront of stand-up for years now. It is genre where a comedian, who has written their own monologues, performs live before an audience, for a single purpose: to make them laugh. Comedy Central is where comedians can ply their trade and is where some of the country's leading comedians started out.
